Friends are good.

Begin log.

Some Caldari will look at you like you've gone mad, if you tell them you have Gallente friends. They only hear the propaganda. If they made friends with one or two, they'll likely see things differently.

Most recently, I've become friends with one Gallentean in particular. A woman called Maris.

I was finalising some paperwork in the rear compound at the Skyhook on Wednesday, when the front entrance reported a Gallentean causing a bit of trouble, they wanted to make sure she wasn't carrying any weapons or the like. She refused to be scanned, because she didn't have anything, and eventually left....The description matched my friend, so I sent her a message, and made my way down to the bar.

Maris came back after a while, though she didn't look happy at me asking her to come back, but she seemed to forget that she was annoyed quickly. We talked about her new apartment, it sounds like a good place, we drank a lot...I could hold it, she couldn't, and I ended up carrying her to a shuttle, back to my Orca. I gave her guest quarters, had the Orca loaded with some supplies, equipment and ships ready for the morning flight to scout an area, and went to bed.

I flew out in the morning, arrived in the afternoon, somehow dropped out of warp on top of a stargate on the way there and got thrown back 20km by the safety system, but we arrived fine.

We talked again once she'd woken up, I had the galley bring some food up, then I took her home in a frigate, the area I was scouting was nearby.

Then, there was Friday, I was flying the Orca near Dodixie, when I saw her on my overview for a second. So I sent her a message about it. Around an hour later, we're sitting in my quarters, eating takeout, and talking....The conversation turned to the Sansha, specifically what would happen if she was somehow taken....

"I have two hundred marines onboard, we'd blow holes in sansha and pull you out" I told her. She asked what I'd do if she couldn't be pulled out.

"If I couldn't pull you out, I'd blow up their whole ship" I'd answered.

"Great. And no doing anything too stupid. This is real life, not an action holo." She said, not completely serious. As much as it sounded like something out of an action holo, I have the resources to do it, as well as the drive. I take care of my friends.

It was a strange thing to talk about, now that I think more about it, but how things are in the cluster, it's a possibility that I'll need to act on it. It's a good thing the armoury is well stocked.

It was strange, but she's been to my quarters a few times, we've talked, had dinner, and it seems peaceful. She has a boyfriend, but they don't see each other very much....I've broken up with Aurora recently because we don't see each other anymore....Me and Maris are around the same age, we get on really well, even if I get the feeling she's hiding something, though aren't we all? We have fun just talking to each other....

Friends are good, especially to relax and laugh with.

End log.
