Furious Angel received her full refit. Angel Incursion Response, or AIR, fleets have been very successful, as well as profitable. She far and away outstrips the Fearless in every way.
Celestial Angel, sister ship to the Furious Angel, was recently refit as well. Both ships fly together again.
There isn't a much better sight, than the two ships flying alongside each other, cutting a path of destruction through anything that comes against them to the thunder of repeating artillery. A fourteen gun salute to the ancestors, another enemy ship out of the fight.
There are vessels more powerful, yes. There are larger vessels, yes. But the terrible sisters are a force to be reckoned with when flying together.
The Nation keeps finding this out, to it's own expense. After their recent refit, the sisters are more deadly than ever.
The future is looking profitable.

Refit.
Begin log.
Incursion fleets are progressing well. The Fearless is performing admirably, though her maneuverability leaves much to be desired, that may be a result of flying the Furious Angel too much.
I am finding the damage output of the Fearless to be lacking in comparison to the Furious Angel too. It has occurred to me that a substantial refit of the Furious Angel may be the best course of action, given how much Concord will pay for assistance in fighting back these incursions by the Nation. I may have to meditate on it a while.
Unfortunately the destroyer Sting was recently lost with all hands out in lawless space. I've already contacted next of kin. Memorial services will be held in the coming days. May they find peace with their ancestors.

New Experiences.
Begin Log.
So this is what a new clone feels like.
It feels different, but at the same time, it feels familiar. It is me. But it isn't.
Marcus Gord's capsule was destroyed yesterday evening by a Raptor class interceptor, after warping into a warp disruption bubble. The combat logs confirm it.
Yet here I am.
This will take some getting used to.

Combat Trials.
Begin Log.
My Machariel class battleship Furious Angel rolled off the production line a few weeks ago. While I completed required piloting skills, I made sure that a team of engineers combed the entire ship, to ensure everything was up to standard. It was.
As soon as I was able to fly the Angel, my engineers got to work once again, adding my advanced gyrostabilisers and tracking enhancers to augment the on-board fire control systems. I want the cannons to fire straight and true. I had the defensive shielding systems installed, after they were removed from the Spirit of Fury. I want the Angel to shrug off incoming fire as she acquaints my targets with their ancestors. Finally the cannons were added. Seven, eight-hundred millimetre, repeating cannons. Simulations I have run, project a rate of fire of under four seconds, and a maximum effective range of over sixty kilometres.
Recently, I have been taking the Angel on short combat trials, both alone, and with other pilots. The performance has been astounding, even though my skills at interfacing with and controlling the fire control systems still need some work, and the planned advanced weaponry has yet to be installed. Until such things are done, I won't be comfortable taking the Angel on her shakedown cruise, or her maiden voyage. At this point, however, it is looking promising.
This is not all that has been happening. The corporation is going from strength to strength all of the time, with a new Starbase having been anchored, and our blueprint library having research done to make production more efficient. Many employees have not yet returned, though. This is something I hope will change quite soon.

A Favour Returned.
Begin log.
They had no idea who I was. I'm sure that they weren't even the same people who destroyed my ship before. But I returned a favour. A fleet, and it's crew, for one of my ships, and it's crew. It feels like a fair trade to me.
Honoured are the dead, for their legacy guides us.
Honoured are the crew of the Hachiman.
End log.
It's been just over a year since the loss of the Rokh class battleship Hachiman and all crew serving aboard. An interface malfunction prevented me from operating the defensive and offensive systems, while also preventing the emergency warp safeguard, during warp into a Guristas base.
It's been almost twenty four hours since I returned the favour. The Spirit of Fury cut through them quickly, the advanced Scourge missiles ripping through shields, armour, and eventually hull, as though it were butter. It was glorious....
Hoshi handled the post battle salvaging operation. She found something quite interesting. A data recorder from the wreckage of a Guristas Raven class battleship. It was quite heavily damaged, as most things that have been in an explosion generally are, but some parts of it were readable. Barely....
>Transmission received: Sword, this is Shield. Be advised, a Capsuleer vessel has entered the area, tactical reports it as a cruiser sized vessel, Tengu class. We are moving to engage.
>Transmission sent: [RECORD DAMAGED!]
>Transmission received: Sword, this is Shield-Two. We are taking losses. Shield-Five and Shield-Six are down. Shield-One has lost comms. Destruction imminent. Request ^%(^yg&( [RECORD DAMAGED!]
>Transmission sent: Shield-Two. This is Sword-One. Request denied. Report on Capsuleer vessel.
>Transmission received [RECORD DAMAGED! PARTIAL DATA RECOVERY ONLY!] : ...No noticeable damage....Attempting....[DATA UNRECOVERABLE!]
>Transmission sent: Shield-Two. This is Sword-One Actual. Retreat to my position. Acknowledge!
I guess that's where 'Shield-Two' was destroyed by one of my volleys, because that's the last transmission from them that could be recovered. The final transmission that could be recovered was the last thing 'Sword-One' managed to send. I guess I destroyed them last, since it cuts off....
>Transmission sent: This is a message to any Guristas vessels in the area. Request immediate assistance. Heavy damage. Multiple casualties. Multiple hull breaches. Current position is....Hoshi said that there were no escape pods found. My only explanation is that they didn't have time to get to them.
